Aumsville Oregon
The small town of Aumsville is just a few miles SouthEast of Salem, so if you don't mind an 10 minute commute to major shopping it is a great community to consider. Town population is just over 3600, and offers a post office, vet clinic, a gas station, a bar, pizza parlor, a city park, city hall, and a drive thru coffee cart. At the time of this writing, the mid-sized grocery store is closed. The land is flat in and around the town, just a few very gentle hills in the rural area. The town hosts the annual Corn Festival with a parade, carnival booths and all you can eat corn on the cob! History of this little town can be read here.
